About This Trail

Imported description
The walks will lead to the centuries of land-use history. The Berlin Iron Bridge is a relic of Connecticut and can be reached from the parking lot. There is a Lovers Leap Trail which goes across the bridge to the rock formation which is called the park. The tradition says that the daughter of a Chief and his lover committed suicide. The Chief did not live in the 18th century. A view to the south overlooks the Goodyear Island that is named for an early fur trader from Derby who came there to trade with the Indian Community. There are ruins on the northwest section of the park. There are other ruins on the map.
