About This Trail
The gravel parking lot has two sections, the north has stairs descending to the river, the south has a gravel road and the middle has a picnic area. You can walk north along Little Eastatoe Creek until you run out of exposed rock after descending to the river. You will parallel the natural water slide until you reach a sandy beach. The beginning of a 1/2 mile trail is marked by blue blazes. Downed trees make for a challenge in some places, but the views of the river and various rapids are rewarding. The river curves under Highway 11 and you would end up in the river or on the road if you look at the double blaze. In the spring there are many wildflowers and in the fall there are many.
