Loblolly Loop Trail

A camping and hiking park is not many people's idea of a good place to go camping. Camp Mohawk County Park is a day-use park with overnight facilities in a wooded area. There is a stand of native pine trees, a guide for identifying tree species, bird watching, and fishing at Camp Mohawk. The site was used by area natives in the pre- European era and as a training ground for Texas soldiers in the 19th century. The Camp Mohawk County Park is located on the south side of the state of Texas. The day use hours are from 8 am to dusk.
