Lake Jackson Forest Trail

Lake Jackson Wilderness Park is bordered by Buffalo Camp Bayou. It is similar to The Wilderness Golf Course, but you can only see it during the hike. There is one interpretive nature loop in the park, and primitive camping is allowed with approval. Other activities include boating, fishing, picnicking, and bird-watching. The Gulf Coast Bird Observatory is located across the bayou from Wilderness Park. Do not go onto any small paths that lead to the forest. It is best to stay on the marked trails if you want to see the parks trail system.
