About This Trail
The Lake Country Recreation Trail goes from Waukesha to Oconomowoc. It is somewhat flat, but there are some good hills in the middle section. The trail is paved and shares a few public roads. The former Milwaukee-Watertown Interurban Railway is where the Lake Country Trail is located. It was popular in the late 1800's as a direct link between Waukesha and the Oconomowoc Lake Country.
