About This Trail

Imported description
A 1 mile loop is created through the best remaining example of the Globally Endened black Oak savanna community that used to be in the Oak Openings region of northwest Ohio. The trail traverses sand barren, black oak savanna, sedge meadow and wet prairie. It's worth noting that the Karner Blue Butterflies, the state-endowed Lark Sparrow, and the yellow-fringed orchid make Kitty Todd special.
