The north end of the parking lot is where the trail begins. The trail has a variety of workout equipment that you can use. You can see deer along the trail. Bald eagles, American pelicans, great blue herons, and other animals can be seen along the Arkansas River portion of the trail. There are spots for fishing along the river. The trail has a beautiful view of the Keystone Dam which was completed in 1965, according to the quote.
