Island Lake Badlands and Black Trails Loop

As of July, users report that most of the trail is closed. There are lots of piles, small hills, and ponds. It crosses the area. The area will be made into a prairie as a result of the reclamation work. The sand mining operation and reclamation have stopped the eastern part of the trail system. There is only one connection to the eastern part of the Blue Trail, the Spring Mill Pond area.
