Horse Thief Spring Trail

There's a hike from Cedar Lake State Park up the north side of Winding Stair Mountains to Horse Thief Spring. The picnic area at Cedar Lake State Park has Trailhead parking above it. A fee of $3 is charged on the day of use. Follow the fires along the path. Some blazes are hard to see and need to be lit again. It takes approximately 6 miles to get to Horse Thief Springs. There is a hidden object on Snake Mountain. There is a loop trail around the northwest side of Snake Mountain that is poorly marked. There are many horse trails in the area with yellow blazes.
