About This Trail

Imported description
Follow road at three boulders a short distance to a sandy bank on left. Bear right on obvious trail and follow 200 yards. Look for small cairn on right with obvious trail leading up into woods. Follow this thru an old cut which becomes very closely spaced new growth. This part of the trail is an old logging road. At top of cut, trail emerges onto a steeper bank in hardwoods. The trail is clear and someone has blazed it with pink and orange flagging tape which is consistent until the end. The trail climbs and attains the ridge which is followed all the way to the summit. The trail goes through birch and softwood where moose activity is obvious. At the Nubble, there is a short spur to the left with a view. The true summit is seen from here. Turn right and down to follow trail through col and ultimately to the summit in roughly 0.3 mile. There are two signs marking the summit and a canister with log. Another short spur to the left nets a nice view of North Twin, the Willey range, and Mt. Washington. Backtrack to return to the start. While this is considered a bushwack, the path is obvious at all times.
