About This Trail

Imported description

The hike begins at a small parking lot and goes up a rocky hill to Jefferson Rock, which provides an overlook ofHarpers Ferry. The trail goes into the ferry. The C & O Canal tow path is to the north of the Byron Memorial Footbridge. Continue until the path goes under a bridge and then look for mile marker 58.6 and turn left. The trail goes under US 340 and crosses Weverton Road before it heads up South Mountain.
