About This Trail
The Hardwood Wetlands Trail is a short and easy walk and you will find it at the Sandhill Research and Education Center. Even though you are not far from civilization, there are a number of benches along the route where you can sit and enjoy the solitude. There are lots of small creeks for the kids to play in. The water in this area comes from springs which are used to purify the rain water. The Children's Garden is an excellent place to park.
