About This Trail

There are some of the prettiest waterfalls east of the Appalachian Mountains in the park northwest of Winston-Salem. The Hanging Rock State Park is the top hiking destination within an hour of the cities of High Point andWinston-Salem. All of the falls are less than a mile from your car, so they're open to anyone. They do require delicate walking at times, which leads to Hanging Rock's more challenging trails. The main quirk of this tour is that you need to park twice, once at the park headquarters and again at the Lower Cascade entrance.
