About This Trail

This hike is part of the Three Ridges backpacking trail and follows along the AT to a viewpoint. The view from Hanging rock is definitely worth it, even though it has a steady incline the majority of the way up. It is recommended to take a trekking pole/stick for the rocky parts of the trail. The trail can be hiked year round, but in the winter it will be more challenging.
