About This Trail
The 1,181-acre nature preserve has a ridge of endemic and jeopardized scrub habitats surrounded by pine flatwood and pockets of wet prairie. The Florida goldenaster and Florida Scrub Jay are rare. The marked hiking trail is a 3 mile loop with sandy and sunny areas. The Golden Aster Scrub nature preserve was purchased by the county in 1995.
