About This Trail

The 1.2 mile nature trail will add interest and enjoy to your visit to Lewis and Clark Lake. There is an overlook shelter at the top of the trail that gives a beautiful view of Lewis and Clark Lake. Hawks circling in updrafts and cliff swallows making high-rise homes can be spied by a sharp-eyed viewer. The trail will give you an idea of the natural features of the area. There are animals and birds that can be seen along the trail. You should pick up our Bird Checklist at the Welcome Center. It is important to stay on the trail for safety and to avoid thorns, burrs or plants that can cause skin irritations. There is a ban on vehicles, bicycles and horses. This is not a walking trail.
