About This Trail

Imported description
The Nature Conservancy owns and manages the 3.75 mile trail. The trail is rich in flora and fauna. This area of Florida reminds you of the mountains of Georgia and North Carolina. The hike begins in a sandhill habitat with wiregrass and longleaf pines changing to a slop forest with a steephead ravine. The trail ends at Alum Bluff, where you can see the river and the floodplain on the other side. The Garden of Eden Trail is a botanically rich environment.
