About This Trail
There are 14 miles of loops on the Mt Ridgeline, beginning and ending at the Gambrill State Park parking lot. The trails are named after colorful trees. The trails are easy to strenuous and from 1 to 7 miles in length. They are popular with hikers, bikers and equestrians. The lot is often nearly full so get there early. It is one of the most technical trails in Maryland. The trail is very rocky in some places. You can see the Monocacy Valley from the ridgeline on both sides. If you catch it at the right time, the mountain is covered with flowers.
