About This Trail
One of the best hiking in the state of Ohio can be found at Fort Hill. The preserve's trio of trails are best suited for hikers. You can climb Fort Trail from base to ridge for those of us who only work at a desk. To get to the enclosure you need to enter through one of the gateways and follow the wall of the earthwork for a long time. The earthwork enclosure is not always noticeable to hikers. Only a scientist or historian would quickly notice the beauty of the landscape after being in the area for hundreds of years. Prepare to use a good eye.
