About This Trail

There's a Glacier-carved lake at the base of a peak that has scenic views. It is easy to reach Elizabeth Lake from the Tuolumne Meadows campground, because it's at the base of the highest peak in the state. The Elizabeth lake trail begins in the B loop of the campground, but takes about 2.3miles and gets you to the lake. You need to cross the creek in order to get to the lake side. The creek is too deep and swift to cross in the winter. This is a good hiking area for people who want to be alone.
