There are a lot of options for either a short walk or a long hike on the main loop trail. The elevation gain is made up of ups and downs along the trail. The Teddy Bear forest is between 2.6 and 2.75. The Sonoran Preserve is located in the transition zone to the Arizona Upland and it has higher amounts of rain than other Phoenix area hikes.
