About This Trail

A sanctuary for wildlife and an outdoor classroom for people to learn about the natural world can be found in the park. The park is home to the Daybreak Star Indian Cultural Center. There is a 534-acre natural area park in Seattle that has a view of the Olympic mountains and the peninsular Magnolia neighborhood. The Confederate prisoner-of-war camp at Fort Lawton was the site of the park. There are two miles of protected tidal beaches, a lighthouse, open meadow lands, dramatic sea cliffs, forest groves, active sand dunes, thickets, and streams in the park. Dogs can't be on the beach.
