Davies Nettleton Loop

This is a fire road hike through tall pines that has great views. You can either take the loop hike at the end or start it at the beginning. The gravel road on the left is Davies Road, while the one on the right is Nettleton Road. You can go left and go down the hill first, then go up the hill until you reach the junction of 510 and 500. If you go right first you will get a sustained up hill hike, then a long downhill effort and a climb up to the finish. The roads are open to the public if you stay on them. This is a training forest for Oregon State University and you will see evidence of logging. The high cliff and swimming pool are located at the old quarry. There are several branch hikes, like the top of Vineyard Mt and the "Old Growth" trail.
