About This Trail
The Cutthroat Unit is temporarily closed. The National Park Service has more information at: http://www.hps.gov/hove/learn/management/cutthroat-closure.htm. Hikers say that access to the trail has been eliminated due to private property. The earliest record of Cutthroat Castle was found in 1929. The site was added to the national monument in the 60's.
