About This Trail
The best way to go on this trail is in a clockwise direction. This allows for a gradual climb for the majority of the hike. The trail has red squares in the clockwise direction and red triangles in the opposite direction. The trail leads through the beginning of the woods. The hike is through the hard wood forest that Bernheim is famous for. A hill with full or rocky ledges and large stones is just a half-way point through the hike. This is a nice area to visit, and can be the scene of small waterfalls after a rainy day. This area is home to deer and turkeys. You can return to the parking lot at the 1 mile point after a steep descent. You will be shocked by the elevation you've gained.
