About This Trail

Imported description
The Irvine Ranch lands had a 12-acre historic district where 46 cottages were built in the 1920s and 1930s. Families have camped here for decades. Artists have had a talent for painting over the natural beauty of the Cove for over 100 years. The filmmakers constructed small thatched huts on the beach for their films. The film sets evolved into cottages. Families lived in cottages on the sand and on the bluffs until 2001. The cottages are rentable by the general public.
