About This Trail
The trail has gentle slopes and a couple of creek crossings. It is possible that bridges and exposed concrete will frighten unaccustomed horses. A portion of the trail is shared by mountain bikers. The trail goes down the prairies at the lake's northwest corner. During the spring through late summer, there are wildflowers, while in the fall, birds and water fowl can be seen. Open with some woods. Be aware of the thorn trees near the trail. The flooding may result in fast sand along the lake shore.
