About This Trail
There is a beautiful land starting out with the forest pines. Clarifying, the road is well maintained and wide. It goes something like this: Drive a couple miles and the scenery changes into high desert accompanied by trees along the East Verde. Most of the time there is wet River/Cortez crossings but not in January. When arriving at the Y intersection, you can take the right and head ahead on the F.R 214 line. The trail consists of the last quarter of terrain. The trail narrows, rocks appear and there is a higher level of difficulty. The ranges are long in many respects ranging from deep to wide with heights of 3-6". You should get on the mountain walk up to the pines and then finish off with a walk through the streets of Milepost 251. You could save the scenic parts for the end, that way you will start in the technical part.
