About This Trail
The trail is only open to foot travel. Motor Vehicles, Mountain Bikes, and equestrians are not allowed in the United States. The ancient volcanic fissure is 70 feet deep and is unique because it has not filled in over the years. The trail along the fissure's bottom offers a unique hike where the temperature can be as much as twenty degrees cooler than at the surface. There is a restroom at the site. The 4wd is recommended to reach the trail.
