About This Trail
A walk on the old train bed and a hike along the old rail road bed is what I am suggesting. It is possible to make a 6 mile out and back hike. There are two choices to make. There are common Oklahoma trees along the way. The Lake and the OSAGE HILLS have great views. There are a lot of bird activity to be seen. There are many bald eagles and waterfowl in the fall, winter, and spring. You can see a road that used to be in Cleveland on the north side of the trail. The water is from the lake. The old rail bridge is all the way to the end of the trail. It was said that you should walk it on your own risk. It's not necessary to worry about an on coming train, but a false step could cause injury or even death. They never built the trail east into the old town. It might be completed one day.
