About This Trail

Imported description
A steep road leads to a footbridge over Fourteenmile Creek as you start your hike. Rose Island was an amusement park in the 1920s. The Rose Island facilities were damaged in the 1937 flood and the bridge was removed when the Army bought the land. There are good spots for fishing in the stream bank on the gravel portion of Trail 3. The middle section of the trail is very scenic and has great views of Fourteenmile Creek and rock cliffs high above the trail.
