Bull Shoals City Park Trails

Five short trails form 2¼ mile interconnected loop network in Roy Danuser City Park in Bull shoals, linked to state park’s nature trail, clearly marked indicating challenge level. 1. Green loop, easy ¼ mile, unpaved but wheelchair accessible. 2. Blue loop, moderate ½ mile, gentle slopes. 3. Red loop, challenging ¾ mile, rocky ravine, slippery crossing after rain. 4. Red connector spur trail, 1/3 mile, leads to state park across Rivercliff Road. 5. State Park nature trail, easy ½ mile paved loop, ADA handicapped-accessible. The ravine loop (3) features best scenery. Usually dry, the ravine crossing is slippery or flooded after rains. You may hear a subterranean stream flowing beneath the dry creek bed by laying your ear against the bedrock. State park visitor center paved loop trail (5) is accessible by crossing Rivercliff Road crosswalk, or parking at the state park visitor center during business hours. Modern restrooms at state park visitor center, seasonal at city park. Two access trailheads and parking: Danuser City Park, and Bull Shoals White River State Park visitor center. All trails close at sunset, and cars remaining after 5 PM at the visitor center will be locked in overnight.
