About This Trail

Imported description

Trail 1 begins at the rear of the lodge and then goes down alongside a creek. There is a covered stone fireplace in the park built by members of the Civilian Conservation Corps. The trail splits to form a loop going back and forth between the lodge and the park road. The creek that flows intermittently is one of the things to look for during the hike. You will experience 3 significant uphill climbs, and a number of steps back up on the hike. The trail is near the trailhead. It takes about 30 minutes to complete.
