Bluff Lake Nature Center

Bluff Lake has a 1-mile Lake Loop with an additional ½-mile Sand Creek Loop. The 123-acre wildlife park is located within Denver, Colorado city limits. It is mostly flat, with both stairs and an accessible entry ramp. Wildlife abounds and varied ecosystems offer year-round activity options. Open, free to the public, from sunrise to sunset, every day. Bluff Lake provides peaceful solace within the confines of the city. The Denver Post noted that the view from the top of the Bluff is one of the better views of the Denver skyline and the Front Range. Once below the bluff, there is peaceful serenity and plenty of wildlife. Recent renovations have resulted in a larger lake and wetland area. There are several nature viewing stations, including a boardwalk over the lake. The focus is peaceful harmony between nature and humanity. Pets, bicycles and motorized vehicles are not allowed. There is ample, paved parking. Picnic tables are available at the top of the bluff. Portable-toilets only until renovations are complete.
