The majority of Clarks Creek is in agricultural fields that are mowed every now and then. The preserve has 27 acres of forested land. The property has a 1.5 acres pond on the southeastern side. The water resources of Clarks Creek Nature Preserve support aquatic species that are not found on other preserves.
