About This Trail
This preserve is used for off-leash dog areas. Your own water or bowl is best to take with you when you're with your dog. Emily Schweitzer brought a nice gift to her friends in Kane County. There is a deed for her 160 acres at the forest preserve. It was her wish that the kettle country was preserved as an open space. The property has forests, fields and wetlands. This is a statement from the property and says that there's a beautiful 1910s house and dog facility in the southeast corner. She only wanted the property to be open space.
