About This Trail
The Gary J. Jainshig trail is located at Big Darby Headwaters Nature Preserve and is part of The Nature Conservancy's Last Great Places. The first mile is wheelchair accessible and takes you to an observation deck. A 2-mile primitive extension is rated moderate and takes you to a second observation deck overlooking a site where restoration work was completed. The importance of the headwaters to people and wildlife is highlighted in interpretive signs.
