About This Trail

The Big Horn Crags of the Frank Church wilderness are home to a secluded lake called Barking Fox. It is a legitimate destination, but the real value is the many and varied vistas along the route. Only the hardiest hikers will want to go to this lake in a single day. There are toilets at Welcome lake and Terrace lakes. It's a good mid-point for a night's rest. The trail past the Terrace lakes is well maintained.
