About This Trail

The MacIntyre Range is home to three 46er peaks, including the second highest in the state. The MacIntyre Range is one of the most beautiful climbs in all the High Peaks, and it is a bit strenuous. The best way to get to the range is to travel past the dam and up the trail to the ridge. The trail around the lake is amazing and the waterfalls tumbling down the base of the climb have amazing views. The ridge is a great place to view the entire landscape above the tree line. You can take a side trip to the summit of Wright to see some of the last unique views, and also check out the rocky nubble below.
