About This Trail

A few feet from the trailhead (31.91667, -106.50919), you turn to your right and walk on the Agave Trail, then continue on the Mundy's Trail. About the mile 2.1, you will find a trail on your left, continue through there. This trail, although it is not on the map, is very well marked; you just have to walk carefully because it is rocky and steeper. At the mile 2.5 you are up near the Aztec Cave and you start going down until you find the trail that takes you to the cave, in this part the trail goes down by a small arroyo not very well marked. You can visit the cave and then descend again by the same trail until you find the Tom Mays Trail that will take you back to the point where you started. At the mile 3.5 you can continue to the Aztec Trail trailhead to arrive to the Tom Mays Trail, if you turn to your left, you will find a trail that is not well marked but will also take you to the Tom Mays Trail. For those who like adventure this is an interesting trail with wonderful views and beautiful rock formations.
