About

Tonto Natural Bridge State Park is situated approximately ten miles north of Payson, Arizona. It features what is believed to be the largest natural travertine bridge in the world. This natural arch measures over 400 feet in length, 150 feet in width, and stands 183 feet tall. The park highlights the geological formations created by the erosion of travertine, providing visitors with insight into the natural processes that have shaped this landscape. The park offers short, steep hiking trails that lead to impressive views of the bridge and its surroundings. Given its remote location, visitors should come prepared with water and snacks, and check the weather prior to their visit. Parking is available on-site, but it is advisable to confirm hours, fees, and any potential closures with the official state agency before your trip.
