Edward Steptoe and various Native American tribes, including the Spokane, Palouse, and Coeur d'Alene. The park features a stone monument and interpretive panels that provide insight into the events of the battle, making it a distinctive location for those interested in local history and heritage. Visitors to Steptoe Battlefield can explore the site and learn about its historical significance through the available interpretive signage. The park is primarily a day-use area, making it suitable for short visits. Parking is available on-site, and the area is generally accessible.
