The park serves as a wildlife refuge and is recognized as an International Dark Sky Park, making it a distinctive destination for both nature enthusiasts and stargazers. Visitors to Oracle State Park can enjoy over 15 miles of hiking trails, including a segment of the Arizona Trail, making it suitable for hiking, biking, and horseback riding. The historic ranch house adds an element of cultural interest, and the park often hosts star parties for those interested in astronomy. Parking is available, but the park's remote location means visitors should come prepared for varying weather conditions and ensure they have sufficient water.
