Kobuk Valley National Park

Caribou, sand dunes, the Kobuk River, and half a million acres of boreal wilderness are here. No roads cross the wilderness landscape. But for 9,000 years the twice-yearly caribou migrations across the Kobuk River have sustained human life in this area. The Great Kobuk Sand Dunes cover 25 square miles.
