The US Army Corps of Engineers and the State of North Carolina would like to welcome you to Falls Lake. A man-made reservoir, Falls Lake is located in the upper portion of the Neuse River Basin, nestled very near North Carolina?s bustling ?Triangle Area.? The reservoir covers almost 12,500 acres with water, and is surrounded by 25,500 acres of public land. The dam is located just outside of Raleigh, and the lake stretches 22 miles upstream to the confluence of the Eno, Flat, and Little Rivers near Durham. Falls Lake offers many recreational opportunities to the public. Take some time to get to know Falls Lake and the opportunities it provides right here amid the rapidly growing triangle area!

Falls Lake is a 12,410 acre (50 km2) reservoir located in Durham, Wake, and Granville counties in North Carolina, United States. It extends 28 miles (45 km) up the Neuse River to its source at the confluence of the Eno, Little, and Flat rivers, and has a shoreline of 175 miles (280 km).
