About

The Elk City Reservoir is a reservoir located 7 miles (11 km) east of Elk City, Kansas. The dam that forms the lake was constructed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. It has approximately 4,500 acres (18 km2) of water, and 12,000 acres (49 km2) of wildlife, and a total of over 50 miles (80 km) of shoreline.
