About this unit
Toquima Range east of the Toiyabes including Mount Jefferson — at 11,941 feet the highest point in central Nevada outside the Sierra. Alpine tundra above timberline, the Alta Toquima Wilderness, and timbered mid-elevation slopes on Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest land.
