About this unit
Snake Range east of Ely including Great Basin National Park and Wheeler Peak at 13,063 feet. High glaciated alpine country, bristlecone pine forest near timberline, mixed conifer and aspen at mid-elevations, and pinyon-juniper at the base on Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest and BLM land surrounding the park.
