About this unit
East Costilla and southwest Huerfano counties wrapping the south Sangre de Cristo crest and the Culebra Range. Aspen and spruce-fir climb to alpine tundra above 13,000 feet on Culebra Peak. Heavy private ranch ground (Trinchera and Forbes Trinchera) with limited public access; San Isabel National Forest on the eastern flank.
