About this unit

South Montezuma and west La Plata counties wrapping Mesa Verde National Park and the lower Mancos River. Pinyon-juniper and oakbrush on the mesa tops drop into the Mancos Canyon. Mix of Ute Mountain Ute Tribal ground (closed to non-tribal hunting), BLM, and San Juan National Forest; Mesa Verde NP is closed to hunting.
